“Drinking About My Baby” by The Damned

Critics hated it.  Punks hated it.  Time passed, and those same punks and critics decided they loved this record.  It’s The Black Album, and the best explanation for this record was provided by Captain Sensible himself: “Well we can’t just do ‘New Rose’ forever.”

No two albums by The Damned sound the same.  That’s the sort of thing that disappoints fans.  That’s also the sort of thing wins more fans in the long run. 

Proof that critics and punks don’t have a brain to share between them. The Black Album is a fucking masterpiece.
